Basic Tomato Sauce

Tomato Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 6oz can tomato paste
  • 1 tomato
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1/2 cup water

Directions:

  1. Heat olive oil and garlic in large pot and cook until garlic in softened.
  2. Add in chopped up tomato and tomato paste. Heat over low temperature.
  3. Add in water and bring to a boil.
  4. Stir in basil and bay leaf.
  5. Cook about 5 minutes.
  6. Remove bay leaf before serving.
